Fall and Winter Fashion Tips
Tuesday, December 18th, 2007This season it’s all about the legs. Reminiscent of the 80s, tight leggings with tunic shirts or sweaters are very popular. Leggings, knee highs, and high socks in bright colors and traditional black are very stylish, and keep you warm as well.
Long-legged boots of all colors and shapes are also all the rage, and can easily be paired with skinny jeans or a skirt. If you want a dressier shoe than boots, go with some black Mary Janes with a pencil skirt.
As for color, purple, black, gray, and cobalt blue are the hottest colors of the season. Green and burnt orange paired with gray or black are also great fall colors. Animal prints are also coming back, so don’t forget to buy purses, shoes, and accessories in this fabric.
Don’t forget to add a little holiday glam by choosing a sequined shirt or bracelets for your next holiday party.
Anything relating to the 1920s is also in style, so don’t be afraid of hats and rounded silhouettes.
With these tips, you’re sure to look your best at every holiday event! And for a traditional look, you can’t go wrong with the little black dress.
Charli’s Holiday Must-Haves
Tuesday, November 6th, 2007Glamorous and high-priced certainly do not have to go hand-in-hand. You can keep up with all the latest styles and fashion trends without breaking the bank. Here are my favorite (inexpensive) items for the upcoming holiday season!
Sparkling Jewelry – Banana Republic is one of my favorite places to pick up chic yet modern jewelry that is perfect for the office and a night on the town. They have absolutely gorgeous pieces, most for under 50 bucks!
Dog Carrier Purse - Channel your inner celebrity and pick up one of fall’s hottest accessories…the dog purse. Perfect for your little furry friend, the purses are replete with shiny buckles, patent leather, and silver chains without the designer price tag!
Riding Boots - The fall fave is back and as hot as ever, especially paired with leggings or skinny jeans. My pick? Steve Madden’s Brown Riding boots…an inexpensive option at only $140.
Polished Nails - Nothing is more refined, sophisticated, or sexy than well-kept nails. Try a DIY manicure…it will not only save you time, but money. Keep nails trimmed, filed, and short especially if you wear dark polish. Colors to try: O.P.I.’s Midnight in Moscow and Vodka & Caviar.
Pea Coat - The pea coat is a wardrobe staple. They look great at any length and with anything…wear with a flattering pencil skirt or dark jeans. Victoria’s Secret has some of the cutest (and inexpensive) pea coats I have ever seen!
